All of the data generated by the Ensembl project is freely available to download from our FTP site
(ftp://ftp.ensembl.org/pub/release-31/) in the following format files:
DNA - Fasta files containing sequences associated with the
assembly (contigs, chromosomes etc.).
Optionally RepeatMasked.
cDNA - Fasta files containing cDNA sequences for
Ensembl/ab-initio predicted genes.
Peptides - Fasta files containing peptide sequences for
Ensembl/ab-initio predicted genes.
EMBL - Ensembl database dumps in EMBL format
GenBank - Ensembl database dumps in GenBank format
MySQL - SQL dumps of Ensembl MySQL databases;
should be portable to any SQL database.
